DUI — Susan C. Coplin, 59, Highland Drive, McKenzie, was charged with DUI, Implied Consent, and Expired Registration after a traffic stop on August 7.

Officer Dustin McClure stopped Coplin vehicle after observing the registration tag expired in 2020. The driver showed signs of impairment and was administered a field sobriety test resulting in her arrest. She was transported to Carroll County Jail.

Domestic Assault, Aggravated Assault — Rene Telles, 39, Elm Street, was charged with Domestic Assault and Aggravated Assault on August 11 at his residence.

Officer Matthew Cunningham filed a report indicating Telles assaulted a female family member, grabbed her by the throat and punched her as she was attempting to get some of her belongings. Rene refused to speak with officers concerning the incident but stated he was ready to be transported to jail. He was transported to Carroll County Jail.

Domestic Assault, Public Intoxication — Hunter Lovell, 22, Reeds Levee Road, McKenzie, was charged with Public Intoxication after he and his brother, Dalton Lovell, charged with Domestic Assault, had an altercation at a residence in Forrest Circle, McKenzie.

Officer Dustin McClure responded to the residence, where the two had been intoxicated and had an altercation. A window was broken after Dalton pushed his brother against it. Hunter was cited into court and Dalton was transported to jail.

Driving on Suspended License — Cortazsha S. Falls, 26, Paris, Tenn. was charged with Driving on a Suspended License, Violation of Financial Responsibility, and Speeding on August 5.

Officer Dustin McClure stopped Falls’s vehicle for speeding. His license was reported as suspended by MPD dispatch. Falls could not produce documentation for liability insurance. He was cited to Carroll County Jail for booking.

Driving on a Suspended License — Ashley Snead, 36, Dees Road, Yuma, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License on August 10.

Officer Dustin McClure’s report states Snead’s vehicle had an inoperable headlight and he made the traffic stop. A check of her license revealed the suspended status. She was cited into General Sessions on the charge of Driving on a Suspended License and Light Law Violation.

Driving on Suspended License — Stanley Hill, 28, Bugg Hollow Road, Gallatin, was charged with Speeding and Driving on a Suspended License-Second Offense on August 11.

Officer Dustin McClure stopped Hill’s vehicle for traveling 52 in a 40 mile per hour zone. A check of Hill’s license revealed the suspended status. He was cited into Carroll County General Sessions Court.

Disorderly Conduct — Laderrick D. Means, 26, Main Street, McKenzie, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct on August 9.

Officers Darren Davis, DTF Agent Adkins, and Officer Cunningham responded to a residence in Hillview Apartment, where they had information about possible illegal drug activity in front of a child. A person had received medical treatment from that apartment earlier in the day. Mr. Means was arrested after he was uncooperative with officers. A female in the house was under the influence and a child, in the two’s care was at the home.

The child’s mother was called to come get the child and the Department of Children’s Services was alerted to the situation.

Criminal Trespass — Maurice Lawrence, 31, Coleman Street, Memphis, also McKenzie, was arrested for Criminal Trespass on August 8.

Officer Timothy Dillon arrested Lawrence after he observed him in front of Pocket’s convenience store. Lawrence had an active ban from the property.

Violation of Order of Protection — Clinton Hoard, 37, Randle Street, McKenzie was charged with Violation of Order of Protection on August 7.

Officer Dalton Raspberry responded to a family member’s house, where the relative had a protection order against Hoard. Mr. Hoard was arrested on an order of protection out of Weakley County.
