From the Sep 10, 2024 e-EditionDriving on Suspended, Violation Order of Protection — Antonio Demonya Harris, 25, Hopkinsville was charged with Speeding, Driving on a Suspended License and Violation of an Order of Protection on September 8.
Officer Matthew Cunningham stopped a vehicle for speeding and learned the driver’s license was suspended and there was an active Order of Protection against a female. The passenger in the vehicle was identified as the person, with whom the order of protection was issued.
Harris was arrested and transported to Carroll County Jail on the charge of Violation of Order of Protection.
Driving on Suspended, Window Tint — Casey Charles Hilliard, 36, Winchester Street, McKenzie, was charged with Driving on Suspended License, Violation of Financial Responsibility, and Violation of Window Tint on September 8.
Officer Dustin McClure observed Hilliard’s vehicle with suspected too dark window tint and made a traffic stop when Hilliard stopped at a business. The driver did not have a valid license and did not have insurance. He was cited into General Sessions Court.
Driving on Suspended — Jeffery Lynn Hampton, 53, Florida Court, McKenzie, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License and Speeding on September 3.
Officer Dalton Raspberry stopped Hampton’s vehicle for speeding and learned of the suspended status of the license for a prior violation of an alcohol interlock device.
Hampton was cited into General Sessions Court.
Driving on Suspended License, Speeding — Derek Ryan Hill, 32, Memphis, was charged with Driving on a Revoked License, Speeding, and Violation of Financial Responsibility on September 2.
Officer Dalton Raspberry stopped Hill’s vehicle for speeding and learned of the revoked status because he exceeded the points on previous violations. He did not have insurance and he had an active warrant for Failure to Appear out of Carroll County. He was arrested and transported to Carroll County Jail.
Speeding, Driving on Suspended — Thomas Gaines Wilson, 30, Gum Flat Road, Bells, was charged with Speeding and Driving on a Suspended License on September 8.
Officer Dustin McClure stopped Wilson for speeding and learned of the suspended status. Wilson was cited into General Sessions Court.
Fugitive From Justice — Frank Brown, Airport Road, Milan, was charged with Fugitive From Justice after he was stopped for speeding on September 5.
Officer Matthew Cunningham stopped Brown’s vehicle and learned of the outstanding active warrant out of Desoto County, Mississippi.
Simple Possession — Destiny Dawne Jones, 35, Morris Street, McKenzie, was charged with Simple Possession, Casual Exchange on September 2.
Officer Arron Lyons witnessed Jones walking and knew of some prior offenses, he requested to search her backpack. Jones consented to the search and advised of any empty syringe. The officer found a baggie containing a crystal-like substance believed to be meth. Jones was transported to Carroll County Jail.
Driving on Suspended License — Jeffery Lynn Hampton, 53, Florida Court, McKenzie was charged with Driving on a Suspended License and Violation of the Light Law on September 2.
Officer Darren Davis made a traffic stop because the lights that illuminate the registration plate were not working. A check of the driver’s license revealed that it was suspended because of a violation of the interlock device. He was cited to General Sessions Court.
Criminal Trespass — Kenneth Payne, 39, McKenzie, was charged with Criminal Trespass after he entered a home on Walnut Circle, where he is banned from visiting. Officer Bryan Batchelder made the arrest on September 3.
