DUI, Leaving the Scene — Pablo Salas, Jr., 29, Highway 423, McKenzie was charged with DUI-Second Offense and Leaving the Scene of an Accident on September 13.

Officer Timothy Dillon was dispatched to Rivals, where Salas was backing from a parking space, struck another vehicle and left the scene.

MPD radioed asking other law enforcement officers to be on the lookout BOLO and Trooper J. Roth spotted the vehicle along Highway 423. MPD Sgt. Beauchamp went to the location outside the city. Salas refused a field sobriety test and also a blood-alcohol test. He was transported to Carroll County Jail.

Driving on Suspended - Third Offense — Michael A. Smither, 27, Dillon Road, Denmark, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License - Third Offense and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign on September 9.

Sergeant Cody Coleman initiated the traffic stop on Forrest Avenue.

Driving on a Suspended License, Speeding — Deiontei Rashad Ferrell, 28. Clarksville was charged with Driving on a Suspended License, Speeding, and Violation of Financial Responsibility on September 11.

Officer Dustin McClure clocked Ferrell’s vehicle at 53 in a 40-mile-per-hour zone. He was cited into Carroll County Jail on the three charges.

Driving On A Revoked License — Jeremy Farlow, 38, Gus Trail, Gleason, was charged with Driving on a Revoked License on September 9.

Sergeant Cody Coleman stopped the vehicle Farlow was driving and determined Farlow’s license was revoked. The owner of the car was a passenger. She was questioned about her knowledge of him being revoked. She said she knew he did not have a license. The vehicle was impounded and Farlow was transported to Carroll County Jail.

Active Warrants Arrest — Susan Coplin, 59, Highland Drive, McKenzie, was arrested on active warrants for Failure to Appear and Violation of Probation on September 13.

Officer Timothy Dillon made contact with Coplin on Walnut Circle and arrested her on the charges.

Active Warrant Arrest — Charles D. Dunning, 40, McKenzie, was arrested on outstanding warrants of Violation of Probation on September 15.

Officer Jayden Rembert observed Dunning walking along Elm Street and made the arrest.

Public Intoxication — Two pedestrians were charged with Public Intoxication on September 11. Jodi Kelley, 51, Highway 423, McKenzie, and John David Mayo, 53, Highway 423, McKenzie, were both charged with Public Intoxication as they walked in the area of Highland and Highway 423.

Officer Matthew Cunningham and Officer McClure each administered field sobriety test and determined the pedestrians were both intoxicated. They were transported to Carroll County Jail.

Active Warrant Arrest — Lamarcus Shumone Allen, 31, of Union City, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Obion County on a warrant for Possession of Schedule VI drugs on September 9.

Sergeant Cody Coleman stopped the rental van that Allen was driving for speeding 66 in a 45 mph zone. He did not have possession of his driver’s license. The canine Toby conducted a sniff test of the vehicle and alerted on the passenger side. The passenger indicated he had used some marijuana and was not charged.

Assault — Two subjects were charged with Assault after they two reportedly had issues of road rages on September 14.

Michael D. Raymer, 51, Tatertown Road, Paris and Armand J. Hebert, III, 62, Cedar Street, McKenzie were both cited for Assault on September 15.

Officer Austin Jones responded to the parking lot of Walgreens, where the two had stopped after traveling along U.S. 79. Hebert stopped at the parking lot and Raymer turned his semi-truck around to go back to the parking lot. Both said they were concerned for their own safety. Officer Jones cited both into court.

Leaving the Scene of an Accident — The rear porch of My Sister’s Closet on Cedar Street was damaged by a motorist who struck the porch and then left the scene.

Officer Trey Boucher investigated the September 11 incident. He found the porch had sustained substantial damage and the concrete slab was pulled away from the building. The matter is still under investigation.
