Simple Assault — On February 13, a victim contacted the sheriff’s department regarding needing help after running over a dog that was in the road with her truck on McAdams Road. The dog’s owner was chasing her on a four-wheeler yelling obscenities at her. The caller advised the male subject was yelling at her causing her in fear of her safety. Deputy Townes found the offender, William Linden Smith, 49, of Huntingdon, at his home; and he also fit the description of the man the victim described. Smith has previous charges of dogs running at large. The victim did want to press charges for assault. Smith was cited into court.

Drug/Narcotic Violation — On February 6, Deputy Townes initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for having marijuana odor. After conducting a search, the driver Jesse Walls, 38, of Florida, had a black ball containing crystal meth and two small bags of marijuana on her person. She was charged with possession of Schedule 11 meth and marijuana.
