Drug/Narcotic Violation — On March 8, Deputy Sunny Crews-Sherwood, encountered a vehicle that cut through the Casey’s parking lot in McKenzie, failing to yield coming onto Forrest St. and had a strong smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver, Chirstopher Edward Gregory, 54, of Gleason, stated he had a joint of THC. After a deeper search of the vehicle, he had 23 oxycodone, 4 diazepam, .54 grams of meth, and hydrocodone in different amounts. His girlfriend and three young children were in the backseat of the vehicle at the time of the stop. Gregory was charged with Sch. II with Intent to Sell, Sch II Possession. He was transported to Carroll County Jail.

Drug Equipment Violation — On March 7, deputies responded to Patsy Lane where a neighbor stated that there was a male and two females going into an abandoned home and taking things. The caller was behind the truck they were occupying on Highway 70 before having to turn off and go to work. After deputies drove around, they found the truck and pulled them over and made an investigative stop. One of the occupants, Elizabeth Johnson, 40, of Cedar Grove, came back with warrants out of Gibson County. After a search, her purse had a clear plastic tube with methamphetamines in it. She was also charged for having drug paraphernalia.
