From the Apr 8, 2025 e-EditionPossession of Drug Paraphernalia — On March 28, Deputy Alex Sherwood conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to maintain lane while driving on Forrest Ave. in McKenzie. The driver, Michael Fowler, 62, of McKenzie, was the sole occupant of the vehicle and appeared to have something in his front pocket. After a search, Deputy Sherwood found a glass meth pipe and 3 grams of meth.
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia — On March 29, Deputy Alex Sherwood conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle making an improper turn and failing to maintain lane. The driver, Ellis Ricardo Tharpe, 43, of Lavern, had a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After a search 3 THC vapes were found and a small amount of marijuana was in a $1.00 bill. He was cited into general sessions for misdemeanor possession.
Possession of Meth — On April 2, Deputy Jeremy Smith noticed a white single cab truck approach with a passenger side headlight out. The driver, Bryan Allen Bradshaw, 40, of Atwood, admitted he did not have a driver’s license. While speaking with Bradshaw, Deputy Smith smelled an odor of alcohol. Bradshaw was asked to exit the vehicle, and he admitted to drinking. In the vehicle, there was a firearm, 2.6 grams of meth, 3 Xanax pills, one meth pipe, and one weed pipe. He was transported to Carroll County Jail.
Domestic Assault — On April 4, Deputies Bongiovanni, Thomas, and Sherwood were dispatched to Highway 220 in Lavinia for a domestic assault. The victim had obvious injuries to her face, head and arms. She stated that she and her ex-boyfriend, Dylan L. Murdock, 32, of Lavinia were traveling from a gas station in Milan, and she was driving. She stated Murdock was being argumentative and began punching and slapping her while she was driving down the road. They made it to Murdock’s residence whenever she realized she had left her phone at the Milan gas station, so Murdock began assaulting her again. She was able to get away and ran to a neighbor’s home to get help. Murdock took off on foot and arrest warrants were issued. At the time of the report, he was not located.
