Wisdom was at work while deputies were at the residence. Deputy Sean contacted Wisdom over the phone and told him to come by the sheriff’s office and make a statement. Wisdom filled out a statement saying that Ashton made phone calls and text messages with time stamps. An arrest warrant was issued for Ashton McGee.

Evading Arrest, Warrants — According to a report made by Deputy Chance Townes on August 13, he attempted to stop a 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle for speeding when the bike started to evade on Hwy. 104, then turning on Gardner Road. At times their speeds would be between 55 to 60 mph. The bike then turned off Gardner Road on to Hwy. 70 going northbound. Once on highway 70, speeds reached 88 mph before the bike turned off onto hwy 220 and then continued to evade down the driveway behind the house into a field before wrecking the bike into a barbwire fence. The driver then proceeded to get up and evade on foot, where he was told multiple times to stop. Once the subject was apprehended, he did continue to resist but then was cuffed and identified as David Brown, 43, of Jackson. After speaking with dispatch, Deputy Townes learned that Brown had a revoked license, a warrant for child support in Gibson County, and a warrant out of Madison County.
