Drug/Narcotic Violation — According to a report made by Deputy Chance Townes on August 17, he attempted to stop a 2017 Dodge Ram that was speeding. The vehicle was traveling at 65 to 70 mph on old 22 lane and came to a stop on Bethel Church Road. The driver, Edgar Leroy Longworth II, 42, of Huntingdon, stated that he was going fast to test the new chip that he got for his truck. Officer Townes asked Edgar if anything illegal was in the truck and he stated he did have some meth in the truck. In the back seat of the truck there was a digital scale with narcotic residue on it and a syringe that was recently used and a new one. There was also a handgun. Edgar was arrested and taken to Carroll County Jail.

Driving under the Influence — According to a report made by Deputy Thomas on August 18, units were dispatched concerning a female whose ex-boyfriend, Cannon Bauer, 25, of Jackson, was sending her repeated unwanted messages and sending pictures of him driving at high speeds and claiming that he was driving drunk. He kept telling her that he was going to her home and she repeatedly told him she didn’t want him there and to go home. She was at work during this time and her current boyfriend left the home for his safety. Bauer sent her a picture of his gun and said “He gone see,” and the female victim took that as a threat. When units arrived to the home Bauer was already there asleep in his car. He did poorly on field sobriety tests and had a empty can of twisted tea in the center console, and an open bottle of white rum Bacardi and Tito vodka. He was placed under arrest for DUI, possession of a firearm while intoxicated, harassment, and violation of implied consent.

Drug/Narcotic Violation — According to a report made by Deputy Sunny Crews-Sherwood on August 18, K9 deputy Sunny Crews-Sherwood, with other deputies Sgt Walker, Deputy Birmingham and Deputy J. Smith were looking for Brandon D. Little, 32, of Camden, for a warrant. At one of the addresses officers, a female stated she had dropped him off at McDonald’s in McKenzie. Upon arrival, deputies saw Brandon Little inside McDonald’s about to leave. Deputies put Little under arrest for having a backpack that contained .5 grams of a white crystal substance that tested positive for meth. Little was transported to Carroll County Jail.

Drug/Narcotic Violation — According to a report made by Deputy Chance Townes on August 18, Townes initiated a traffic stop on a gold Buick for failure to stop at a stop sign. He spoke to the driver and advised her of the reason for the traffic stop and asked where they were going and the driver stated they were headed to a house in Waverly to pick up some of her property. The deputy noticed Cole was nervous. He asked Dunlap to step out of the vehicle so that he could issue a warning ticket for the violation. He asked if he could search the vehicle and found a small baggy on the floorboard of the passenger side and Cole said it was hers and was placed under arrest. Cole also had two baggies on her totaling 2.8 grams of meth.

Drug/Narcotic Violation — According to a report made by Deputy Chance Townes on August 20, Townes initiated a traffic stop on a silver Nissan Maxima for failure to maintain lane. The driver, Crystal Hudson, 43, of Atwood, stated she was in a hurry because her grandson was being airlifted to Vanderbilt for trouble breathing. Deputy Townes witnessed the driver’s nervousness. He asked for consent to search her vehicle and she denied consent. He then deployed his canine, which led him to search the vehicle. He located a bag full of clothes in the back sat on the driver side of the vehicle a small cloth bag that felt like a meth pipe. He located two glass pipes and meth .3 grams. She was arrested and taken to jail.

Domestic Assault — According to a report by Deputy Daniel Thomas on August 21, units were dispatched out for a domestic, the victim would be waiting at the First Bank in Hollow Rock. When they arrived at the bank, they met with Delaney Davis and her mother. Delaney alleged that she and her husband, Timothy Davis, 30, of Buena Vista, had an argument in the car that became verbally abusive. Delaney, who was driving, stopped the vehicle and exited telling him he shouldn’t talk to his wife that way. She refused to re-enter the vehicle and began walking away. Timothy Davis drove the vehicle back to her and another argument ensued outside the vehicle. Delaney alleges Timothy threatened that if she didn’t get back into the vehicle he was going to choke her. She still refused and was chased around the car until he caught her and put his hands around her neck while pushing her back into the car. Delaney fought back by kicking as Timothy hit her with the car door but was able to exit again. During the time, Timothy had Delaney’s phone and refused to give it back to her even after she said she may need it to call for help. So Delaney got back in the car and went home and called her parents. Her parents took her to the First Bank and called the police. Timothy Davis was arrested for Domestic Assault and charged with interference with emergency calls.
